In our quest for the perfect family holiday destination, a place that encapsulated pristine beaches, warm climate, clean waters, and proximity to cultural richness, yet nestled in peace and tranquillity, we discovered the Ionic side of Puglia. It was here, amid the red earth, sprawling vineyards, and ancient olive groves, that we found not just a location but a feeling — an authentic, grounding vibe that resonated deeply with us. It was love at first sight with this enchanting region, a love that inspired us to lay down roots in this very soil.

We embarked on a journey that led us to purchase a house, a decision that was just the beginning. As we delved deeper into the fabric of the land and its stories, we felt a profound connection to its past and a desire to restore unity to the fragmented pieces of land surrounding our new home. These pieces, once belonging to a single family, held memories and a legacy we yearned to honour and continue. Our mission was clear: to weave together these lands once more, creating a unified sanctuary not just for ourselves but as a legacy for our two daughters. We listened intently to the tales of the farmer who still tends the land, tales of joy and childhood wonder, and we knew we wanted to build upon these cherished memories.

Thus, Masseria La Calma was conceived — a haven for us to escape the bustling life of London, our serene summer retreat, and a welcoming space to host friends and find center again. Our passion for this project blossomed, fueling our desire to share this slice of paradise with others. What started as a personal endeavour to create our corner of tranquillity evolved into assisting friends to do the same, crafting their own havens in Puglia's captivating landscape.
